Description

Thula Meetse is the ideal place for a weekend getaway or a small, private conference, bosberaad or product launch. A birders paradise with over 40 varieties of bird seen in the area.

The property has a diversity of topography incorporating plateaus, mountain terrain, sheer cliffs, valleys, streams, grasslands; it also has a significant selection of indigenous trees.

We are privileged to have a waterfall with a drop of approximately 10 meters. The waterfall flows most months in the year, and is most spectacular during high rainfall periods.

7 chalets can accommodate two, four or six persons, not forgetting our honeymoon suite for those special occasions, or our secluded bush cottages.

All chalets are perfectly situated for privacy, but in close proximity to the swimming pool, restaurant and other activities.

Accommodation

There are four different types of chalet:

 FAMILY CHALET - consists of 3 bedrooms, dinning room, air conditioning in 1 room, sleeping 4 to 6 guests.

 SUPERIOR CHALET - consists of 2 bedrooms, lounge / dining room, air conditioning, sleeping 3 to 4 guests.

 HONEYMOON CHALET - consists of 1 bedroom, equipped with private Jacuzzi, air conditioning or ceiling fan.

 BUSH COTTAGE - consists of 1 bed on suite with air conditioning, secluded & private, sleeping 2 guests.

The décor and furnishings of Thula Meetse Mountain Lodge are homely inspired and the chalets are equipped with air- conditioning or ceiling fans.

All chalets are luxurious, fully equipped for self-catering, and each chalet has its own private braai area.

HIKING
In total privacy and comfort, explore the stunning features of the
Waterberg, the splendid view of the mountains, rivers, wildlife and birds.
Game watching, bird watching, tree spotting - try one of our challenging, and scenic hiking trails. Hike to our waterfall and enjoy a refreshing dip in the mountain pool.

MOUNTAIN BIKES
Come ride the trails through the Waterberg Mountains.

 BIRD WATCHING
Spot the majestic black eagles as they swoop over The Waterberg Range or discover the favourite congregational area of the kingfishers.

 QUAD BIKE TRAILS
Superb Quad routes are laid out on the neighbouring farm for your enjoyment.
Quad bike trails are under supervision of a guide who will treat you to an unforgettable experience.

 4 X 4 ROUTE
Hire or use your own 4 x 4 vehicle to view the game and various bird species on Thula Meetse Mountain Lodge.
