It is, quite simply, a luxurious wilderness retreat, and a world first, breaking from the traditional style of lodge to set a new standard.  Earth Lodge comprises a superb wine cellar with over 6000 bottles of wine, the Earth Nature Spa with a range of treatments offered by Camelot International, boutique curio shop, dining area and open air boma.  As with all Sabi Sabi lodges, skilled rangers and trackers lead guests in open landrovers on a journey of discovery to view the elusive “Big Five” and there is also the option of an environmental walking safari.

Earth Lodge is a sanctuary symbolising a new era in luxury South African safari lodges. The unexpected entrance opens to a panorama of uninterrupted bushveld. Home to 13 ultra-luxurious suites including the Amber Presidential Suite, the lodge breaks with traditional bush lodge style to create a masterpiece of artistry and innovation. Each of the suites at this luxury lodge features individually designed furniture, private plunge pool, en-suite glass fronted bathroom, indoor and outdoor shower and butler services. The natural wooden sculptures by renowned South African artist Geoffrey Armstrong add a powerful magic.

The Amber Suite is a glorious celebration of generous size and space. Beyond belief in its beauty, from the magnificent carved wooden headboard to the deep egg-shaped bath, the suite boasts its own steam room, study and kitchen. It captures the spirit of nature and luxury in one unique experience.

The outdoor boma, its walls sculpted from tree roots and piled up piece by piece, captures the drama of the African night and evokes the power of the wilderness.

Please note that Sabi Sabi is situated within a malaria area. It is recommended that guests consult their physician/travel clinic regarding easily administered malaria prophylaxis before embarking on any safari travel to South Africa.

Sabi Sabi Private Game Reserve is an unspoilt part of Africa ecologically and geographically integrated with the adjacent Kruger National Park. It is situated within one of South Africa's oldest and largest proclaimed reserves - the renowned Sabi Sand Wildtuin.

Sabi Sabi lies 500 km east of Johannesburg, 800 km north east of Durban and 200 km west of Maputo in Mozambique. It lies on the same latitude as Sao Paulo and Brisbane and the same longitude as Cairo, Istanbul and St.Petersburg.

Treatments are carefully planned to accommodate each and every client. Punctuality will be apprecitated.**. To ensure efficient scheduling of treatments, please check in at the Spa 20 minutes prior to your appointment.

*Amani African Spas is an award winning spa group specialising in African Safari Spas at exclusive African Lodges.

**Treatments for late arrivals will be completed within the scheduled treatment time while the fee will remain unchanged. There will be no cancellation fees should an appointment be cancelled with a minimum of 3 hours notice. Please ensure that any cancellation is made directly with the Spa. A 25% rate surcharge will be levied on treatments booked outside of normal operating hours.
