Farm 215

Description

Farm 215 is not a farm at all of course, it is fynbos reserve in the Southern Overberg of 800 hectares, crowned by some of the highest peaks in the area and scarred by kloofs up to a 100 meters deep. The house is obviously not a farm-house. It is a private place built to enjoy splendid isolation and an overpowering sense of space and tranquility. High and lonely on its hill, the house offers views in all directions of this undiscovered part of the Western Cape. The sun sets over the ocean in summer, showing a remarkable variety of colours and light to our guests on the terraces. The rooms are more than spacious and offer remarkable views. All meals of the day are generous and with an eye to detail. Farm 215 has an extensive infrastructure of hiking trails and roads, which you can explore on your own or with one of our guides (on foot or by 4x4), specialised in the fynbos of the Southern Overberg. It is a 15 minute drive from farm 215 to both endless unspoilt beaches and the best spots to watch whales. Kleinbaai, the place to embark for shark-cage diving is 15 km away.

Farm 215 is clearly off the beaten track in a very natural area and its houses are in an isolated position. Nature rules supreme. Where all attention is given to the comfort and quality of the accommodation and its amenities, Farm 215 is not a resort, but a place where people can retire in rural and natural surroundings.
